'Brave New World' secured the No. 1 spot on Netflix's weekly ranking of non-English TV shows in its first week of broadcast, marking the fastest achievement for any SBS Saturday-Sunday drama in history.

'Brave New World' (script by Kang Hyun-ju, directed by Han Tae-seop) is a romantic comedy drama depicting a tense, explosive romance between Shin Seo-ri, an unknown actress possessed by the soul of a notorious Joseon-era villainess, and Cha Se-gye, a ruthless chaebol heir described as a monster born of capitalism.

'Brave New World' topped the weekly viewership rankings of Netflix's official site TUDUM's 'Global Top 10 Non-English Shows' chart. The chart aggregates viewership data and watch time from May 4 to the 10th. Following its premiere on the 8th, 'Brave New World' reached the top spot in just three days. This marks the first time an SBS Saturday-Sunday drama has claimed the No. 1 position on Netflix's 'Global Top 10 Non-English Shows' weekly ranking in its first week of broadcast, setting a new record for the shortest time to achieve No. 1 on the same chart and demonstrating the intense global interest in the series.

'Brave New World' has received widespread acclaim from domestic and international viewers, achieving a perfect synergy through its thrilling premise of a romance between 'Joseon Villainess' Im Ji-yeon (playing Kang Dan-sim/Shin Seo-ri) and 'Ruthless Chaebol' Heo Nam-jun (playing Cha Se-gye), Im Ji-yeon's powerful performance, a script with sharp dialogue, the dynamic chemistry between Im Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun, and immersive direction filled with delicate details.

Attention is focused on the unstoppable momentum of 'Brave New World,' which sparked a global phenomenon in its first week by producing numerous hilarious iconic scenes, including the 'Flower Picking' scene and the 'Jang Hee-bin possession meme.'

'Brave New World' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
