'New Employee Kang (Chairman)'s Jeon Hye-jin has pulled out the restructuring card.

In the eighth episode of JTBC's drama 'New Employee Kang (Chairman)', which aired on the 21st, Kang Jae-kyung (played by Jeon Hye-jin) is shown ousting Executive Vice President Lee Sang-jae (played by Kim Jong-tae) and instructing Hwang Jun-hyun (played by Lee Jun-young) of the Strategic Planning Team to restructure Chosung Materials.

On that day, Lee Sang-jae (EVP) attempted to recover deleted data to expose suspicions regarding Chosung Chemical's slush fund. However, Kang Jae-kyung, who noticed this, burned the related slush fund documents and instead pinned the accusation of manipulating slush fund data on Lee Sang-jae (EVP).

As a result, Lee Sang-jae (EVP) was stripped of the chairmanship.

Following this, Kang Jae-kyung stated before the executives, "The materials company is facing not only a funding shortage but also rumors of insolvency regarding its slush fund. I cannot stand by while Lee Sang-jae (EVP), who manipulated Chosung Chemical's slush fund data to seize company power in such a critical situation, continues his misconduct."

In response, Hwang Jun-hyun asked, "It seems Kang Jae-gyeong (President) has a good alternative."

Kang Jae-kyung clarified, "We need to cut 20% of the materials company's workforce within a month to reduce fixed costs. The restructuring will begin with Vice President Choi of Chosung Materials, who is involved in the slush fund case."

He then assigned the restructuring to the Strategic Planning Team, to which Hwang Jun-hyun replied, "If that is the only way to save the company, we must do it. We will proceed with the restructuring."
