Kwon So-hyun, an actress formerly of the group 4Minute, revealed her reasons for appearing in 'Empathy Cells'.

On the morning of the 30th, a production presentation for the new Lifetime Saturday-Sunday drama 'Empathy Cells' was held at Cube City in Sindorim, Guro-gu, Seoul. PD Kim Chil-bong and actors Kim Myung-soo, Kang Min-ah, and Kwon So-hyun attended.

'Empathy Cells' is a romantic comedy depicting the process of a woman who denies empathy and a man who embraces empathy invading each other's worlds through a supernatural event called 'emotional transfer' and relearning emotions. Kim Myung-soo plays Cha Eun-hwan, a popular psychological counselor with 100% empathy ability; Kang Min-ah plays top star Yu Ji-an; and Kwon So-hyun plays Han Yi-jin, a rival and popular actress to Yu Ji-an.

On this day, Kwon So-hyun, who transitioned to acting after her activities with 4Minute, explained, "When filming scenes where the characters were performing their past idol activities, we set the tone of the greeting, a must-have item for idols, accordingly. When greeting as an actress, the tone is low, but as an idol, the tone is high. We learned from each other with Kang Min-ah and approached the filming well."

She continued, "It's not a role of being an idol-turned-actress, is it? It was a character that perfectly matched my environment. I felt it was fate, and the emotions I felt during my idol activities and my thoughts about transitioning to acting resonated deeply, so there was no reason not to choose this work," expressing her affection for the project.

Meanwhile, 'Empathy Cells' will be released simultaneously at 10:50 p.m. on the 4th on Lifetime, U+tv Mobile, and Disney+.
