Actor Son Hyun-joo will compete with Kim Ji-won against Lee Jung-eun for the year-end Best Couple Award.

On the 7th, a production press conference for SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia' (hereinafter referred to as 'Doctor X') was held at SBS in Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Jung-rim and actors Kim Ji-won, Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, and Kim Woo-seok attended the event.

'Doctor X' is a drama depicting the activities of 'Doctor X' Gye Su-jeong, who shatters massive injustices with her genius surgical skills that know no failure or compromise. It is based on the Japanese 'Doctor X' series broadcast by TV Asahi.

On this day, Lee Jung-eun stated regarding her first acting collaboration with Kim Ji-won, "There were moments where we made history together with Kim Ji-won. My satisfaction level is high."

Kim Ji-won also expressed confidence, saying, "I am aiming for the Best Couple Award. It was truly wonderful. As you all know, (Lee Jung-eun) is incredibly lovable. Watching her from the side was one of the happinesses I found on set, and it was a time when I could satisfy my personal desires and learn as an actor. It was chemistry that caught both rabbits: happiness and learning."

Son Hyun-joo, who plays Hospital Director Bu Seung-gwon, also expressed his desire for the Couple Award with Lee Jung-eun, eliciting laughter. In response, Lee Jung-eun smiled and said, "I would like viewers to watch the broadcast and judge (who I will receive the Couple Award with)."

Meanwhile, 'Doctor X' will air its first episode at 9:50 p.m. on the 9th.
