Singer Shin Seung-tae revealed a heartbreaking family story.

In the episode of KBS 1TV variety program 'Hwang Shin-hye's Let's Live Together' broadcast on the 1st, Shin Seung-tae was shown enjoying three different dates with Hwang Shin-hye, Shin Gye-sook, and Yang Jeong-a.

On that day, Shin Seung-tae said, "I'm not sure if it will happen someday, but I had the thought that we would live well in the future."

When Hwang Shin-hye praised him, saying, "Your positive mindset is amazing," Shin Seung-tae revealed, "I think I inherited that from my parents. By the time I was in middle school, we were completely ruined and didn't even have a house," surprising everyone.

Shin Seung-tae confessed, "My father gave too many guarantees. My mother was busy paying off debts with every penny she earned. When she recalls that time, she says she wasn't struggling. She told us, 'What's so hard about being together as a family?'" leaving everyone moved.

He said, "I came up to Seoul and lived in a single room until I graduated from university and turned 30, after which I lived with my family." After losing his assets and falling into despair, his father would go to the mountains every day, but he ended up running a restaurant through an investment by a hiker he happened to meet.

Shin Seung-tae smiled and said, "It was so fortunate that the restaurant did well right from the start. If it hadn't, I would have been working while thinking about my parents. But since my parents are running the restaurant, I feel at ease."
