'Running Man' host Haha revealed that he was offered a role in the Hollywood blockbuster 'The Lord of the Rings'.

In an episode of SBS variety show 'Running Man' aired on the 23rd, a race dubbed "Manager Kang" unfolded to present a gift to camera director Kang Chan-hee, who has been with the show since its first episode.

On that day, the members embarked on a group mission to obtain pins for use in the final dart showdown.

That day, Yoo Jae-suk began by saying, "There are rumors that Haha was cast in a major Hollywood film."

Haha hesitated, asking, "Should I reveal this?" Yoo Jae-suk replied, "If you're cast and production begins, you should talk about it then." When Ji Ye-eun and the production team asked for the title of the work, Haha answered, "'The Lord of the Rings'," surprising everyone.

In response, Song Ji-hyo asked, "Gollum?" Yoo Jae-suk joked, "So you're a Hobbit. You fit perfectly. And your feet are big like a Hobbit's."

Haha explained his reason for declining the offer: "I was one of 12 friends selected. I was chosen as Asia's representative. They asked me to take about a month off, but since 'Running Man' came first, I had to say sorry and decline."

When Ji Seok-jin asked, "Are the original 'Lord of the Rings' actors appearing?" Haha replied, "They're all gathering," adding more surprise.

As members expressed regret, asking, "Haha, why didn't you do it?", he clarified, "I was planning to." However, Yoo Jae-suk cast doubt with a joke: "Isn't this some spin-off of 'The Lord of the Rings,' like 'The Ring of the Stones' or 'The Under-Ring of the Rings'? Are you sure it's actually 'The Lord of the Rings'?" This drew laughter from everyone.
