• Appearing in 'This Is Hyunmoo Road'.. Variety show chemistry following 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2'

Actor Kim Nam-gil is set to reunite with broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo on a trip to Japan.

According to StarNews's investigation on the 2nd, Kim Nam-gil will appear as a guest on MBN's variety program 'This Is Hyunmoo Road'. He participated in the recording of 'This Is Hyunmoo Road' held in Japan last summer, traveling alongside Jeon Hyun-moo and Lee Joon.

'This Is Hyunmoo Road', which debuted on the 20th of last month, is a real-effort road trip that follows the motto "There is no set path, but there are standards," directly engaging with locals to discover 'real locals'. Pursuing local travel that immerses in the region, it showcases journeys where participants dive directly into the lives and culture of locals. Jeon Hyun-moo and Lee Joon are regular cast members.

In particular, Kim Nam-gil is reuniting with Jeon Hyun-moo on a variety show after about two years, following his appearance on MBN and Channel S's 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2', which aired in October 2024. During his appearance on 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2', Kim Nam-gil had conversations with Jeon Hyun-moo about their respective dating styles, among other topics. In response, Jeon Hyun-moo expressed empathy for the similarities between his and Kim Nam-gil's dating styles, raising the "self-doppelganger theory" to laughter.

The two are set to meet again on a travel variety show after about two years, exploring various parts of Japan together and once again demonstrating their unique chemistry. It is known that Kim Nam-gil visited diverse locations in Japan with Jeon Hyun-moo and Lee Joon, directly experiencing local culture.

Following the currently airing Vietnam episode, 'This Is Hyunmoo Road' plans to present the Japan episode featuring Kim Nam-gil. Attention is focused on what kind of chemistry these three will have shown through this trip to Japan.

Meanwhile, 'This Is Hyunmoo Road' is a variety program where Jeon Hyun-moo and the production team of 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan', which is loved as MBN's signature variety show, have joined forces again.

By moving away from the method of visiting famous restaurants or pre-arranged eateries, 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan' has established itself as a differentiated variety show by introducing 'local gourmet spots' that are directly scouted and discovered on-site based on recommendations from locals and viewers.

Jeon Hyun-moo and the production team of 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan' have expanded this "discovery fun" to overseas travel this time. As they seek out new places, people, and cultures directly in local areas rather than following a set travel course, interest is also piqued in the new travel routes that 'This Is Hyunmoo Road' will showcase in Japan.
