Shuhwa of the group IDOL took her first step as an actress with "Forever and Ever, Happy."

A press conference for the film "Forever and Ever, Happy" was held on the 7th at the 1st-floor press room of BIFF Hill in Haeundae-gu, Busan. Attendees included director Fiona Law, actors Shuhwa, Jin Sun, Chae Beom-hee, producer Clifford Miu, and producer Linhan Zhang.

"Forever and Ever, Happy" depicts the story that unfolds when a stray cat named Goyang unexpectedly enters the lives of two sisters with completely different personalities, shaking their seemingly peaceful daily routine.

In the film, Shuhwa plays the role of Lin Zichi (Kitty), the youngest in the family and the lively, innocent protagonist.

Shuhwa, who made her screen debut with "Forever and Ever, Happy," shared her thoughts, saying, "I was really nervous at first. I think anticipation outweighed tension." She added, "It is an honor to be able to bring my very first work to such a major film festival. I am truly curious about how the audience will react after watching the movie."

Director Fiona Law explained why she cast Shuhwa, stating, "I believe Shuhwa has essentially been acting for a long time. Choosing Shuhwa was truly the right decision." She continued, "Rather than thinking that we chose Shuhwa, I would prefer you to think that Shuhwa chose us."

She further elaborated, "The character we wanted was always positive and driven, but Kitty is not that kind of person. She is a character who wanders and wavers a lot." Law explained, "I thought that Shuhwa's personal charm could sufficiently offset Kitty's wandering nature and allow the audience to connect with the character."

She also added, "I felt that the fact that Shuhwa is actually the second of three sisters resonated with the character." She noted, "Since she had previously mentioned wanting to act in a film, I thought it was a well-matched choice in many ways."

Shuhwa also touched on the difference between her activities as a singer and acting in films. She said, "I think I have been acting for a long time on stage. However, while it was important to present myself boldly on stage, I had concerns about having to convey much more subtle emotions and small changes on screen."
