I.M, a member of boy group MONSTA X, expressed his feelings about joining the military.

MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, I.M) held a new world tour "The X: Nexus" (2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR "THE X: NEXUS" at KSPO DOME (formerly Gymnastics Stadium) in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 1st.

I.M., who will join the army on the 9th, said, "Actually, my back is not that good. You could have sat down and performed. But it's the last performance before I go to the army, so I can't do that. Honestly, after the first day, I thought, "What should I do with this?" But what happened when I kept doing it. I think the power of love is great. I stopped working twice in 2025. I didn't rest. I was constantly doing something, but the reason I was able to do it was because I thought "Monbebe would like it," he said.

I.M. then said, "I'll give up my life as MONSTA X for a while and serve in the military. "I'm going to shave my head because I have older brothers and MONBEBE," he said, holding a shaved head ceremony on stage.

Monsta X released their new digital single "Baby Blue" in November last year.
