Girl group IVE (아이브) has foreshadowed the arrival of an overwhelming "girl hero."

On the 16th, their agency Starship Entertainment released the first teaser video for the music video of the title track "Looks Can Kill," which shares its name with the new album, through IVE's (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) official SNS channels.

The released video began with scenes of the members preparing for filming, such as getting their hair and makeup done or adjusting their outfits. Various moments inside and outside the set were showcased, ranging from each member striking distinctive poses in front of the camera to a group shot where they performed actions resembling firing guns with their hands.

As the scene transitioned, IVE appeared wearing hero suits that reflected each member's signature color. The six members exuded the presence of majestic heroes as they walked down streets evoking a wasteland, featuring burning cars and cracked pavement. Toward the end of the video, scenes of them preparing for wire action and clapping a slate were shown, concluding with the director's "Action" call, which heightened anticipation for the full music video.

The behind-the-scenes stills released on the same day offered a glimpse into another side of the hero movie set depicted in the music video. The members showed relaxed and cheerful moments, such as resting in the waiting room or joking around with each other. In particular, the photos featured the members' individual hero names, including "Captain Purple," "Wonder Green," "Jin Yellow," "Bat Pink," "Super Blue," and "Spider Red," adding to the viewing pleasure.

The title track "Looks Can Kill" is a song that begins with an intense synth pad rhythm, layering drums and electronic sounds over a heavy, rough bass. It expresses IVE's powerful presence and commanding force, which overwhelms opponents simply by their confident and energetic appearance.

Songwriting was handled by Seo Ji-eum, Lil Cherry, and Rei, incorporating IVE's signature confidence and subjective attitude. The repetitive chorus and witty lyrics blend with the addictive melody to enhance the song's appeal.

IVE's new mini-album "Looks Can Kill," which will see a pre-release of the title track on the 19th before its full release on the 26th, is an album that features "Girl Hero" as another "Another Ego," following previously introduced concepts such as Cupid and Magical Girl. It is set to unfold a new story unique to IVE through the message that "everyone can be the protagonist and hero of their own life."
