Kiwoom's Choi Ju-hwan was hit by a pitch on the inside corner from Hanwha's left-handed starting pitcher Wang Yencheng in the top of the first inning of the 2026 KBO League Kiwoom Heroes vs. Hanwha Eagles game held at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 14th, and he fell to the ground. Wang Yencheng, acknowledging his own mistake, approached the fallen Choi Ju-hwan to express his apology. Choi Ju-hwan readily accepted Wang Yencheng's apology.
