Professional football K League 1 team Pohang Steelers will finally resume home games at Pohang Steel Yard.

On the 7th, Pohang announced, "Based on the results of a comprehensive safety inspection of Pohang Steel Yard, we have decided to hold home games normally starting from October."

Since last August, Pohang has been conducting a detailed safety diagnosis of Steel Yard while simultaneously carrying out repair and reinforcement work for safety hazards identified during the inspection process.

After completing all planned repair work on the 2nd, they re-inspected the condition of repairs and final safety across the entire stadium facilities, including the areas where repair measures were implemented.

The Pohang club explained, "According to inspections by various safety expert institutional investors, necessary measures have been appropriately carried out," adding that "no additional safety hazards were identified."

Accordingly, based on the review opinions of expert institutional investors, Pohang will resume home games at Steel Yard starting with the 2026~2027 season AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) League Stage MD2 match against Malaysia's Johor Darul Ta'zim, scheduled for 7 p.m. on the 13th.

Following that, they will play a K League 1 Round 32 home game against FC Anyang at 4:30 p.m. on the 18th.

The Pohang club stated, "We plan to create a stadium environment where fans can visit Steel Yard with peace of mind through continuous facility inspections and safety management going forward."

Meanwhile, ticket reservation schedules and related information regarding the resumption of home games will be announced through the club's official website and Ticketlink.
