Recent updates on actress Kim Min-hee (44), who gave birth to director Hong Sang-soo's (66) son, have become a hot topic.

Entertainment media X Sports reported on the 24th on sightings of Kim Min-hee and Director Hong Sang-soo enjoying weekend parenting duties.

According to the media, the two spent a weekend outing with their son near Misa in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. Notably, photos captured Director Hong Sang-soo pushing a stroller while wearing sunglasses. Kim Min-hee followed behind the director, walking with a hat pulled low over her head.

The media reported, "Director Hong Sang-soo pushed the stroller while keeping an eye on his surroundings, while Kim Min-hee walked behind him at a certain distance."

Kim Min-hee has ceased all commercial film and drama activities for over 10 years since her role in Park Chan-wook's film 'The Handmaiden' (2016). After directly admitting to an 'affair' with Director Hong Sang-soo, who has a wife and an adult daughter, her career in the entertainment industry was effectively halted. The year after reaching her career peak with 'The Handmaiden', Kim Min-hee caused a social uproar by confessing at a press screening for Director Hong Sang-soo's film 'On the Beach at Night Alone' that they were "in a loving relationship."

Since then, Kim Min-hee has continued her activities solely by participating in acting and production for films directed by Hong Sang-soo.

Amid this, Kim Min-hee gave birth to Director Hong Sang-soo's illegitimate son in April 2025, sending shockwaves through society once again. Director Hong Sang-soo is a 'married man' who lost his divorce lawsuit against his wife and is maintaining his legal marital relationship.
