Gu Jun-yeop of the group Clon has reportedly entered legal proceedings regarding the inheritance of his late wife, Taiwanese actress the late Seo Hee-won.

According to a report by Taiwan's Sanli News Network on the 13th, Gu Jun-yeop did not renounce his right to inherit Seo Hee-won's estate and is scheduled to begin an inheritance mediation procedure next week with his lawyer attending.

Reports indicate that recently, Seo Hee-won's mother requested Gu Jun-yeop to sign a document renouncing his inheritance rights.

Furthermore, claims circulating in some quarters that "Gu Jun-yeop voluntarily gave up the residence where Seo Hee-won lived during her lifetime" have been reported as false. It was explained that Gu Jun-yeop did not give up the property on his own but left their previous home at the request of Seo Hee-won's family and is now living in a rented house elsewhere.

The media reported that since Gu Jun-yeop is participating in the inheritance mediation process, it appears he has not yet completed the renunciation procedure.

Previously, Seo Hee-won married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaopei in 2011 and had one son and one daughter but divorced in 2021. She later reunited with Gu Jun-yeop after more than 20 years in 2022 and remarried him. In February last year, she passed away due to acute pneumonia caused by the flu while traveling in Japan.

According to local media, Seo Hee-won left behind an estate valued at approximately 120 billion won, including The Penthouse worth about 16 billion won. Her estate is to be inherited equally by her two children and Gu Jun-yeop, each receiving one-third.

Shortly after Seo Hee-won's death, Gu Jun-yeop stated regarding the inheritance: "Since this property was accumulated through Seo Hee-won's blood and sweat during her lifetime, I intend to give it to my mother." He also added, "To ensure that no bad people touch the children's share, we will legally protect it until they reach adulthood through a lawyer."

Meanwhile, Wang Xiaopei has also applied to the court for the appointment of a special representative to protect the rights and interests of his two minor children. It is reported that the representative appointed by the court is currently proceeding with the estate division process. Additionally, Wang Xiaopei's side has established a separate trust account to manage the inheritance assets for the children and has previously stated its intention to respect Gu Jun-yeop's decision regarding his legal share of the inheritance.
