Amid reports that TWICE's Jihyo is leaving JYP, the company stated its position: "We are currently in discussions regarding contract renewal."

On the 14th, JYP Entertainment told StarNews, "TWICE is currently in a period of contract renewal discussions and is proceeding with careful deliberation. We will provide updates once matters are finalized."

That day, JoyNews24 reported that Jihyo plans to leave JYP Entertainment and establish her own one-person agency.

Meanwhile, Jihyo joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee in 2005, underwent approximately 10 years of training, and debuted in 2015 as the leader and main vocalist of TWICE. Guiding TWICE to become K-pop's representative girl group through her exceptional vocal abilities and stable leadership, she also expanded her activities as a solo artist by releasing her first mini-album 'ZONE' in 2023.

TWICE members all renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment in 2022. As the contract expiration approaches, rumors have emerged regarding potential departures of members Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, and Chaeyoung.
