Actor Kim Soo-hyun has resumed his social media activities after returning to work with an advertisement shoot, marking his comeback after 1 year and 4 months.

On the 15th, Kim Soo-hyun shared a post by Bench Chairman Ben Chan on his own SNS. This marks his first SNS activity in a long time following the controversy.

Chairman Ben Chan posted photos from the ad shoot with Kim Soo-hyun and added the phrases "Back together" and "Always in our," welcoming Kim's return. Kim appeared before the camera as if no 1 year and 4 months of absence had passed, drawing attention with his unchanged smile and relaxed demeanor.

The day before, Kim Soo-hyun completed a video shoot and photo session for BENCH's advertisement. BENCH, which selected Kim as its advertising model in 2024, has once again partnered with him, demonstrating unwavering trust.

Kim Soo-hyun became embroiled in controversy over allegations of dating the late Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor and has continued legal actions after halting all activities.

Previously, Kim Se-ui (CEO) had consistently claimed through YouTube broadcasts since March last year that Kim Soo-hyun was in a romantic relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron and bore responsibility for her death. However, investigative authorities determined that the voice recording file released by Kim Se-eun was a fabricated file generated by generative artificial intelligence (AI) and that the KakaoTalk conversation records between Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron were also manipulated.

On the 23rd of last month, Kim Se-eun was arrested and prosecuted on charges including violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation by spreading false facts), violation of the Special Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes, violation of the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (distribution of recordings made using cameras, etc.), attempted coercion, and threats.
