Comedian Lee Jin-ho will appear in court this August on charges of illegal gambling and drunk driving.

The Suwon District Court's Yeoju Branch, Criminal Division 1, will hold the first trial for Lee Jin-ho on charges of illegal gambling and violation of the Road Traffic Act on August 14.

Previously, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office in Yeoju filed a non-detained indictment against Lee Jin-ho on May 29 on charges including habitual gambling and violation of the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).

According to the Prosecutors' Office, Lee Jin-ho is accused of drunk-driving approximately 100 kilometers from Incheon City to Yangpyeong in the early hours of September 24, 2025.

At that time, Lee Jin-ho's blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.11%, a level warranting license revocation. Lee later requested a blood draw, and analysis by the National Forensic Service revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.12%.

Lee also faces charges of repeatedly gambling using illegal online gambling sites and others. Previously, police received complaints via the Citizen's Report Center requesting investigation into Lee's alleged gambling fraud, launched an investigation, and transferred the case to the Prosecutors' Office.

Recently, Lee Jin-ho collapsed due to a brain hemorrhage and was treated in an intensive care unit. In April, he suddenly suffered a brain hemorrhage and was rushed to a hospital. It is reported that emergency medical services were dispatched after singer Kang In-jae made a phone call reporting the incident. Given his critical condition at the time, only close family members such as his parents and siblings, along with very few close acquaintances, were allowed to visit. Close comedian Lee Yong-jin also learned of the news and immediately visited the hospital.

Lee later regained consciousness and was transferred from the intensive care unit to a general ward. Medical staff have been closely monitoring his recovery progress.

Subsequently, Lee was admitted to a university hospital in Seoul and has focused on rehabilitation therapy. Although he still experiences some difficulties with communication and movement due to partial paralysis, it is reported that his condition has improved to the point where light conversation and mobility are now possible.
