A woman in her 30s who committed graffiti terrorism at various locations across Seoul targeting singer BoA (40, Kwon Bo-ah) has been brought to trial.

According to The Kyunghyang Shinmun on the 24th, on the 20th, the Criminal Division 7 of Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, led by Chief Prosecutor Jo Yun-cheol, filed non-detained charges against A (38) on suspicion of insult and property damage.

A is accused of publicly insulting BoA and damaging the utility of electronic billboards. Previously, in June last year, A used permanent marker pens to write graffiti containing sexually derogatory content about BoA on bus stop signs and electronic billboards in Seoul's Gangnam, Gwangjin, and Gangdong districts on eight separate occasions. In response, BoA's former agency, SM Entertainment, filed a criminal complaint with the police, stating that "BoA has suffered from graffiti damage."

It is reported that A has a prior record of receiving multiple fines for property damage and other offenses due to habitually committing graffiti acts insulting celebrities in addition to BoA.

Meanwhile, after parting ways with SM Entertainment, where she had been for 25 years since her debut, BoA established her own one-person agency, Baypal Entertainment, this past March.
