Lee Jong-hyun, formerly of the group CNBLUE, shared updates on his life as a regular person for the first time in about eight years.

On the 10th, Lee posted a lengthy message on his social media: "This is Lee Jong-hyun. I have left this account empty for eight years."

He explained, "My account was hacked, and I am still requesting to update my ID and profile description. There were several years when I turned my back on the world. Since then, I have learned how to work in order to live."

He added, "For eight years, I have found enjoyment in beauty marketing on a small scale and have been working professionally in this field," confirming that he is currently engaged in beauty-related marketing work.

Regarding his daily routine, Lee said, "I attend meetings, examine products, and ponder how to do things better. I leave home in the morning and return at night. I have come to realize how difficult it is to live an ordinary working life."

He continued, "I believe everyone is truly remarkable. From now on, as a human named Lee Jong-hyun, I will strive to communicate with more people and live happily. Have a wonderful day," he added.

Meanwhile, Lee Jong-hyun became embroiled in controversy in 2019 when he was identified as a member of the so-called 'Jung Joon-young group chat.' Inappropriate remarks and actions exchanged in the KakaoTalk chat room were made public, drawing criticism, and he underwent police investigation regarding the matter.

Following this, Lee Jong-hyun left CNBLUE. At the time, he apologized, saying, "I sincerely apologize once again to those who were hurt by my inappropriate remarks and to everyone who was greatly disappointed. I feel ashamed and have no face to show to the fans who trusted me."
