Momo Land member Joo-i has expanded her activities by making her musical debut in "Caffeine."

On the 21st, Joo-i appeared on stage at the Seoul The Good Theater for the premiere of the musical "Caffeine," meeting with audiences.

The original musical "Caffeine," starring Joo-i, is set in a café named "Love is…" where coffee and wine coexist as of 6 p.m. It tells the story of barista Sejin, who works in the morning, and sommelier Jimin, who works in the evening. The two engage in a playful battle of wits over "Love is…" without ever seeing each other face-to-face until Jimin reappears before Sejin under the name "Jung-min," leading their relationship into a new chapter.

Joo-i plays Sejin, the manager and barista at the café "Love is…". Sejin arrives at the café every morning, writing "Love is…" on the chalkboard to express her thoughts on love, characterized by a bright and confident personality.

Today Entertainment stated, "Joo-i portrayed Sejin's character with her unique expressions and tone of voice, bringing out the character's diverse traits. With witty expressions and an endearing presence, she not only enhanced the musical's energetic atmosphere but also naturally harmonized with her co-stars, anchoring and guiding the performance."

They added, "Especially since 'Caffeine' is a two-person play driven by its male and female leads, the actors' capabilities are crucial. Joo-i perfectly embodied the character and skillfully performed various musical numbers with her clear vocal tone, signaling a successful start as a musical actress."

After completing her first performance, Joo-i shared through her agency, "I am so happy to have successfully completed my debut performance as Sejin in the musical 'Caffeine.' I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the staff and fellow actors who supported me until the show began."

She continued, "In truth, it still feels unreal, but I hope to grow even more during the remaining performances," revealing her determination for the future.

Joo-i debuted as a member of the group Momo Land in 2016. After gaining public recognition with hit songs like "Pump Pump" and "Snake (BAAM)," she has been loved for her unique bright energy and honesty through activities in various fields, including variety shows. Through the musical "Caffeine," she is expanding her reach while continuing to showcase the charm she displayed in music and entertainment.

"Caffeine" will be performed at Seoul The Good Theater until October 25.
