Actress Son Ye-jin is capturing attention with her unique hanbok appearance.

On the 27th, character stills from the Netflix series 'Scandal' were released.

'Scandal' is a Netflix series that tells the story of a daring and dangerous love bet between 'Lady Cho', a woman with exceptional talent who cannot live her life confined only as a woman in the Joseon era, and 'Cho Won', the greatest lover of Joseon, along with another woman, 'Hye-yeon', who becomes entangled in that bet.

'Scandal,' remade from a film of the same title into a series, has released three distinct character stills showcasing the captivating acting ensemble of actors who will add three-dimensional narratives to a classic story.

The role of 'Lady Cho', who proposes a secret bet, is played by Son Ye-jin, who is taking on a historical drama for the first time in 24 years. 'Lady Cho' is a character who possesses exceptional talent beyond anyone else but lives while burying her unfulfilled dreams and desires deep within her heart due to the limitations of an era where women could do nothing.

In the released photos, 'Lady Cho' is shown with loose hair, wearing a red inner shirt (sokjeoksam), and holding a pipe, creating a contrast to her appearance as a dignified noblewoman. Son Ye-jin is expected to portray a variety of aspects, from captivating charm to strategic acumen, with her profound acting skills. Expectations are high for how 'Lady Cho', who has hidden her desires in the face of historical realities, will be completed through her collaboration with Son Ye-jin.

The role of 'Cho Won', the greatest lover of Joseon, is played by Ji Chang-wook. 'Cho Won' is a talented individual from a prestigious family with outstanding looks, but after his letter-writing friend and cousin, 'Lady Cho', whom he had openly shared his heart with since childhood, cut off contact, he lived only chasing pleasure and fun. After receiving another letter from 'Lady Cho' years later, 'Cho Won' jumps into a dangerous bet to obtain what he has long desired. Attention is focused on whether 'Cho Won' will be able to get what he wants. Ji Chang-wook portrayed multi-layered emotions, from his mad appearance obsessed with unattainable desires to his free-spirited charm and deep affection held in his heart.

Nana takes on the role of 'Hye-yeon', a young widow, making her first foray into a historical drama. 'Hye-yeon' lost her husband before even holding a wedding ceremony and was forced to preserve her chastity, living without even being allowed to live her own life. It remains to be seen whether 'Hye-yeon', who had given up on everything, can push away 'Cho Won', who keeps trying to enter her life, and what changes she will face after suddenly becoming the subject of a bet between 'Lady Cho' and 'Cho Won'.

Directed by Jung Ji-woo, 'Scandal' is expected to be highly anticipated and will be released on Netflix on September 18.
