Actor Kim Min, who appeared on ‘I Live Alone,’ directly denied claims that his life in an old house was staged.

On the 6th, Kim Min told Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today in an interview, “There really is no manipulation or setup.”

Kim Min said, “Viewers may have various curiosities, and I am deeply grateful that it seems you watched with such passion,” while adding, “The production team also formed a new bond with me during a sensitive period and worked hard together, but unexpected stories have emerged, which makes my heart heavy in one way. I also feel unnecessarily sorry toward my older brother and sister.”

Additionally, regarding the old house, Kim Min said, “This place is truly, truly a special space for me,” explaining, “It is a place that holds the precious memories of my older brother and sister, who are like family to me. It is a space where they were born and which my brother’s father built with his own hands.”

He continued, “Through a deep connection, I came to stay here, and while doing my best to preserve those memories, I am spending time gradually fixing and tending to things that can be repaired during my stay. I will continue to do so going forward,” adding, “I would appreciate it if you could look at my precious people and space with a warmer gaze.”

Previously, Kim Min appeared on the MBC variety show ‘I Live Alone,’ which aired on the 2nd.

Kim Min revealed his life in an old house approximately 90 years old located in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province. He demonstrated a lifestyle close to that of a hermit, operating a generator himself, repairing worn floors with cement, and grilling meat over a wood fire.

Kim Min explained that the space was the home of an older brother he had known for a long time through family connections, and that he occasionally used it while traveling abroad.

However, after the broadcast, suspicions arose in some online communities that the old house Kim Min revealed did not match its actual appearance, leading to claims of manipulation and staging.

In particular, controversy grew as claims emerged that the appearance of the house captured in road view last July differed from what was shown on the broadcast. Furthermore, opinions surfaced that there had been utility poles and power lines nearby, leading to suspicions that even the use of a generator might have been staged.
