Actor Kim Nam-gil carried out a meaningful act.

On the 9th, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hangul Day, it was announced that actor Kim Nam-gil and Seong Sin-yeo-dae (Prof.)'s Seo Kyung-deok joined forces to donate educational supplies to a Hangul school in the Basque region of Spain.

The 'Hangul Globalization Campaign' they are conducting involves donating educational supplies to weekend schools working to promote Hangul education around the world, as well as foreigners who run study groups to learn Korean. To date, they have consistently donated educational supplies to overseas Hangul schools in New York, Vancouver, Budapest, Mexico City, and Auckland.

Professor Seo, who planned this initiative, stated, "Recently, we donated equipment such as laptops, projectors, and screens, along with various items necessary for Hangul education, to a Hangul school in the Basque region of Spain."

He added, "In particular, as K-pop, K-dramas, and other content have spread widely around the world, the number of foreigners and overseas Koreans who want to learn Hangul and Korean has increased, and we wanted to help with their education in some small way."

Kim Nam-gil, who sponsored this initiative, said, "We will continue to seek out organizations working on Hangul education in various parts of the world and provide consistent support going forward."

Meanwhile, they are continuing various activities to introduce Korean culture and history to the world, including producing and distributing multilingual videos related to independence activists.
