James, a member of the group CORTIS, surprised fans by unveiling a video that he personally planned and produced. In particular, its release on the 14th, his birthday, made it a special gift for COER (the fandom name).

At midnight on the 14th, James's '[BDAY Project] Paris Texas - Everybody's Safe Until…' was uploaded to the team's official YouTube channel. It is a cover music video that pairs footage shot by James with the original track by the American hip-hop duo Paris Texas. He led the entire production process, from song selection to choreography creation, direction, and editing. As he is often called the "idea bank" within the team, he fully demonstrated the creative side befitting a "young creator crew."

Under the theme "To be reborn, I must fight my past self," James in the video engages in an intense struggle with himself. Using vintage KAMCOs as weapons, they aim at each other on an alleyway hanbok stage. In the process, he also performs action choreography that he created himself. Tense facial expressions and camera movements following a narrow path create an intense atmosphere reminiscent of a short film. The subtitle "October 14" included at the end of the video, along with a playful voice saying "It's my birthday," provides a cheerful twist.

James took time to plan the video and choreograph it amidst his busy schedule this summer due to the team's first tour, 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN.' After outlining the overall concept, he directed the camera angles, special effects, and shooting movements while discussing ideas with the filming team. He also handled editing and color correction himself, so the video credits are listed as "Directed and edited by JAMES."

CORTIS is scheduled to release special content on each member's birthday, starting with James. On January 3, Juhoon; January 13, Seonghyun; February 14, Geonho; and March 20, Martin will sequentially unveil five distinct creative works containing their own ideas.

Meanwhile, CORTIS is continuing its trend-setting momentum this year. Their second mini-album 'GREENGREEN,' released in May, achieved a cumulative 500 million streams on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify as of October 12. Additionally, according to the latest weekly album chart on Circle Chart (aggregation period: September 27 to October 3), total sales have surpassed 4.35 million copies. The five members are set to perform at events including 'The 18th Melon Music Awards, MMA2026' (2026 Melon Music Awards) to be held on the 14-15 at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome, and the '2026 MAMA AWARDS' (2026 MAMA Awards) to be held on the 20th and 21st at Japan's Kyocera Dome Osaka.
