As controversy swirls over actor Gong Hyung-jin’s rude remarks toward musical actress Cha Ji-yeon, his past harsh comments directed at actors Hyun Bin and Lee Seung-gi are also being revisited.

In the past, while appearing on the SBS variety show "Strong Heart," Gong made a sarcastic remark, stating that "Hyun Bin was a 'straw man' who sucked up only the strengths of his senior colleagues during his rookie days."

He also said of Lee Seung-gi, "He is stuck right next to Kang Ho-dong and sucking hard."

Gong’s remarks have come under renewed scrutiny after he recently humiliated junior colleague Cha Ji-yeon in a public setting.

On the 17th, Gong appeared as an MC alongside Cha Ji-yeon at the "Korea East Broadcasting Corporation 70th Anniversary Homecoming Day" held at Seoul Hanyang University.

That day, after finishing her stage performance, Cha greeted the audience by saying, "I am Cha Ji-yeon, who acts, performs in musicals, and sings in South Korea." Subsequently, Gong, who took the stage, demanded that Cha bow again at a 90-degree angle to him, despite her having already greeted him with "Hello, senior," saying, "Since you are my junior, greet me once more."

Additionally, when Cha energetically conducted the event with both fists clenched, Gong asked, "Are you about to hit someone soon?" while scanning her from head to toe.

Not stopping there, Gong also commented on Cha’s stage presence by saying, "Why are you acting? Just do it like you usually do."

In response, netizens reacted with comments such as, "It seems he threw out that low-quality line because he thought it would be funny. He really looks like the ultimate bossy old-timer," "That is probably why broadcasting stations do not look for him," "His mouth is the problem," "He gives off a similar vibe to Jung Hwi-jae," and "It is truly rude."
