Model and fashion designer Sahara Ray, known as the ex-girlfriend of pop star Justin Bieber, has passed away. The sad news came just nine months after she gave birth to a daughter earlier this year.

U.S. entertainment outlets TMZ and Page Six reported on the 19th (local time) that Sahara Ray died in a hospital while surrounded by her family. She was 34 years old at the time of her death.

Her bereaved family stated, "She closed her eyes peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was a person who was deeply loved." The specific cause of death has not been disclosed.

Sahara Ray had previously been embroiled in dating rumors after being spotted on vacation with Justin Bieber in Hawaii in 2016. In 2023, she also became the subject of dating rumors with singer Maudie Line.

She had been battling health issues. She revealed that she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome following a traffic accident in April 2024. At the time, Ray shared on TikTok, "I am paralyzed from my upper thighs down to my toes. I cannot walk at all." She also used a wheelchair due to paralysis of her lower body.

Even while battling illness, she enjoyed the joy of becoming a mother. Ray gave birth to a daughter in January last month. In April, she shared a video of herself with her daughter set to a Justin Bieber song, expressing affection by calling her "Baby Snow, my everything." Her daughter was also featured in an SNS post published in July last month.

Condolences from acquaintances followed the sudden sad news. Model Becky Harun expressed her grief on social media, saying, "She was a pure person with a big heart. My heart breaks when I think of you and your family."
