Big Bang receives the most hits on YouTube

Big Bang, who will be back performing soon, is getting a lot of attention with their music video.

The group released a music video for the song “Blue” from their 5th mini album on February 22 and received two gold medals from YouTube.

YouTube award gold, silver, and bronze medals for the following categories: ’The Most Popular Video,’ ‘The Latest Popular Video,’ and ‘Hot Issue.’

During the past week, Big Bang received an explosive response and took two gold medals in ‘The Latest Popular Video’ and ‘Hot Issue’ for their multiple hits and likes.

Within 5 days of its release, the video received over 8 million hits (8,309,918 hits on February 27 at noon) on YouTube. That means the video received over 1 million hits per day.

Big Bang only released the song “Blue” from their 5th mini album. The song is currently ranked first place on several music sites, including, Melon, Cyworld, Soribada, Olleh Music, and Mnet.com.

Big Bang will go on the ‘Big Bang Alive Tour 2012′ starting on March 2 at Olympic Park in Seoul. A world famous producer, who produced Lady GaGa’s concert, is also slated to produce Big Bang’s world tour.
