Big Bang’s T.O.P was recently cast in the movie Schoolmate.

On June 8, Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, said that T.O.P will play the role of a professional killer named Myung Hoon.

The movie is about Myung Hoon, who was ordered to infiltrate South Korea and become a killer to save his little sister Hye In. Myung Hoon is a North Korean high school boy, trained as a killer to complete a suicide mission in South Korea.

He kills a betrayer with no mercy and falls in love with a girl, who is his little sister’s classmate.

It has been 2 years since T.O.P appeared in the movie 71-Into the Fire in 2012. He played the role of a lead character named Jang Beom and received the Rookie of the Year at the ‘Paek Sang Arts Awards’ and ‘Blue Dragon Film Awards.’

T.O.P says, “I was attracted to the character I play in the movie because he is cold but also innocent. I’m already excited thinking about how to portray the character.”

The movie will start shooting in July.
