Singer IU will invade Japan once again by working with a popular Japanese group.

IU will release her new Japanese single You and I on July 18. The Japanese version of her hit song You and I was written by popular songwriters Lee Min Soo and Kim Ee Na.

A special guest also participated on her new single. Popular Japanese electronic group Fantastic Plastic Machine (FPM) also worked on the remix version of the song.

FPM left a note on a website about working with IU. Tanaka Tomoyuki said, “I’m honored to work with IU, who is very popular in Korea. I added the performance of the orchestra to her talented vocal skills and tried to make the song into a dance track.”

IU ranked eighth with her song “Good Day” on the Oricon chart last March. She will invade Japan once again with another hit song.

IU has been promoting herself in Japan since April. Her second album Last Fantasy, which was released in Japan, ranked first on the Japanese iTunes chart.

In September, IU will hold her first exclusive concert in Japan.

IU will hold the ‘IU Friendship Special Concert Autumn 2010′ on September 17 in Tokyo. She will hold the concert only in six months after her debut.

IU is currently touring the country to meet over 5,000 people. She previously held her debut showcase in March at Orchard Hall, which is well known for classic performances.
