Core Contents Media, T-ara’s agency, said that after consultation with the agency’s attorney, it will request a police investigation into those who heave spread a false rumor about T-ara members bullying and beating Hwayoung.

On July 31 around 1:50 p.m., a spokesperson for Core Contents Media reported, “This morning, we were going to request a police investigation into those who have spread the rumor, but there were some suggestions that we’d better consult with our attorney first, so we’re currently doing that. As soon as we finish our consultation with our attorney, we’ll request a police investigation.”

As Core Contents Media announced the cancellation of its contract with Hwayoung on July 30, a person who impersonated a T-ara back-up dancer spread a false rumor, saying, “Jiyeon once slapped Hwayoung in the face in a practice room.” Another person who introduced herself as a trainee of Core Contents Media also said she was slapped in the face by Jiyeone. However, it’s been revealed that this was also a false statement written by a person who was impersonating a trainee of Core Contents Media.
