IU is offered to perform in several drama series

A spokesperson for IU says, “IU is currently getting offers from more than ten drama production companies to appear in their series. IU is happy to perform in some of them, but we don’t have a specific plan yet because she still has a hectic schedule in overseas countries. We’re considering many options.”

IU made her acting debut in 2011 through KBS 2TV’s drama series Dream High. She’s currently staying in London to cheer the Korean national Olympic team on and will come back to Korea on August 4.

IU will also focus on her concert in Japan in September. She will hold her first live concert, titled IU Friendship Special Concert Fall 2012, at the Tokyo Forum A Hall on September 17. It’s her first overseas live concert.

According to the Oricon Chart, IU’s second single “You And I,” released on July 18 in Japan, ranked fourth on the daily single chart.
