2PM’s Junsu recently changed his name to Minjun.

On October 17, Junsu tweeted, “Hi, everyone. My family wanted me to change my name, so I did. As a solo singer, I’ll still use the official name Jun. K, but my real name is now Minjun. I won’t be using the name Junsu anymore.”

Junsu started writing songs in February last year in the name of Jun. K. He wrote “Don’t Go,” a soundtrack of KBS 2TV’s drama series Dream High Season 1, and also released a solo song, “Alive.” He will keep the name Jun. K as a solo singer, but he will now use his new name, Minjun, as a member of 2PM.

People responded: “It’s so sudden.” “It might sound unfamiliar for a while.” “Well, it was his family’s decision.”
