United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and singer Psy (Park Jae Sang) met each other on October 23 (local time) at UN headquarters and praised each other.

The UN chief said the Korean pop star was “cool” and “energetic.” He said, “You are so cool, I hope that you can end global warming.” He also added, “He’s so energetic he can help to end the energy crisis.”

He also said that he watched the “Gangnam Style” video, which received over 500 million hits on YouTube. Psy was surprised to hear that and said, “For all the Koreans he is the guy, you know, in everyone’s heart in Korea, the best among the best. To be here and he knows me, even knowing that he knows me is so touching right now, and he’s saying he saw my video. He counted in my video views.”

Psy and the UN chief even posed for the “Gangnam Style” together.

The UN chief said, “We have a tough negotiations in the United Nations. In such a case I was also thinking of playing Gangnam Style dance so that everybody would stop and dance, maybe you can bring UN style.”

Psy also announced that he will release a new EP, which includes English and Korean songs, and hold a concert next year at Madison Square Garden in New York.
