Actor Lee Joon Gi recently donated ten tons of rice that he received from his overseas fans.

On November 7, Lee’s agency reported, “Lee Joon Gi visited the Korea Food for the Hungry International on November 1 and donated ten tons of rice.”

Lee received the rice at the press conference for the production of MBC TV’s drama series Arang and the Magistrate in August. The rice was given by Lee’s fans from Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and the U.S. According to Lee’s agency, the fans have collected money for three months to cheer for Lee with the rice.

The ten tons of rice can be provided to 90,000 people. They will be donated to children who suffer from hunger and senior citizens who live alone.

Lee says, “I wanted to donate the rice to people who need it. I really appreciate all the fans who always support me with love and faith.”

Lee has recently finished the drama series Arang and the Magistrate.
