Psy has recently been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

On November 8, the Guinness Book of World Records reported that Psy has recently been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the music video of “Gangnam Style” has received the most number of Likes on YouTube.

Psy received a certificate from the GWR on BBC Radio 1′s show, hosted by Scott Mills, and said, “I feel so honored. I haven’t even received a graduation certificate at school.”

The music video of “Gangnam Style” had received 2,234,641 Likes by September and was qualified to be listed in the GWR. It has received 4,911,081 Likes by now.

Before Psy, the best record has been that of the music video of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem, which was 1,574,973.

Craig Glenday, the editor-in-chief of the Guinness World Records, says, “We’re very happy to award a certificate to Psy. ‘Gangnam Style’ is a very addictive song that makes people smile. That’s why the song has received the most number of Likes on YouTube.”

Psy is currently visiting countries in Europe. He visited Paris, France, on November 5 and attended a flash mob event for “Gangnam Style,” in which over 20,000 people participated. On November 7, he gave a lecture at Oxford University in the UK. On November 11, Psy will attend the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards in Frankfurt, Germany.
