Having already released an English version of the hit song “The Boys,” last year, SNSD is planning to release an album in English next year through Interscope Records, which represents Lady Gaga and Eminem.

The Guardian in the UK has carried coverage of SNSD’s new album, and on November 17 (local time), the paper reported that Princess SNSD will will be the next big K-pop thing after Psy’s “Gangnam Style.” It said SNSD has been very successful in Asian countries including Korea and Japan and will soon release an album in English.

SNSD has never done any promotional activities in the U.S., but their big single The Boys, in which world-renowned musician Snoop Lion was featured, received a lot of attention abroad. Because SNSD has worked with the well-known producer Teddy Riley, who also produced some of Michael Jackson’s albums, SNSD’s new album is attracting even more attention.

SNSD will be working in Japan for a while. They’ll release the album Girls’ Generation Two: Girls and Peace in Japan on November 28.
