YG Entertainment, one of the biggest agencies in Korea, is planning to debut a new girl group next year. On November 22, an official of the agency reported, “The seven members of YG’s new girl group recently participated in Lee Hi’s latest song, ‘Scarecrow,’ which was released today at noon. Because this song was meant to show off Lee Hi’s soulful voice, the members of the new group only participated in the chorus part. YG Entertainment wanted to give the new girls a good opportunity to try out their skills before their debut.”

Describing the new group, the official added, “There will be more than seven members in the new group. The girls who participated in Lee Hi’s new song are in the group for sure, but there will be more members added—we don’t know exactly how many yet. The group will debut early next year.”

Some of the members are Kim Eun Bi, who ranked sixth on Super Star K2 in 2010, and Yuna Kim, who failed to make it into the top ten on Super Star K3 last year but impressed the judges with her great talent.
