Big Bang’s G-Dragon recently showed what he can do as a solo artist. “Crayon,” the title song of his second solo EP, was selected by David Bevan, editor of popular music magazine SPIN in the United States, as the number-one K-pop song among twenty of 2012. Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” from his sixth EP, ranked second, miss A’s “I Don’t Need A Man” ranked third, and SHINee’s “Sherlock” ranked fourth.

Big Bang’s fifth EP was also included in the Top 20 list. Their song “Bad Boy” ranked seventh and “Fantastic Baby” ranked thirteenth.

The magazine previously praised G-Dragon by saying that he is Korea’s Kanye West. The reviewer said, “G-Dragon was particularly impressive when on his own, further embracing his semi-adopted stance as Korea’s Kanye West by taking on a bit of West’s vocal grain when performing cuts from his recently released One of a Kind EP.”
