SNSD, Korea’s popular nine-member girl group, is showing off power in the music market. The group released its fourth EP, including the title song “I Got A Boy,” on January 1. Even though ten days have passed since the release of the title song, it is still taking first place on several music charts. But thats not all . . .

SNSD, who sold over 300,000 copies of their third EP, The Boys, released in October 2011, have now also sold over 200,000 copies of the new fourth EP. Their agency, SM Entertainment, says, “SNSD’s fourth EP, I Got A Boy, has sold over 200,000 copies. Additional orders keep coming in.” This is proof of SNSD’s tremendous popularity and pulling power.

A music video for “I Got A Boy,” released on YouTube, had received over 20 million views by January 6. This is the shortest time taken to reach over 20 million views among Korean music videos.
