Speed will donate all profits from the sales of their debut album to the 5.18 Gwangju Uprising Organization.

On January 16, Core Contents Media, Speed’s agency, reported that all profits from the sales of Speed’s debut album will be donated to the 5.18 Gwangju Uprising Organization.

The agency said, “If we can comfort the victims from the event who have lived with big pain, we’re glad to make a donation regardless of how large the profits are. We and the members of Speed decided to make a donation at a meeting on January 14.”

Speed attracted a lot of attention with the music videos of their debut songs, which were shot with the setting of 5.18 Gwangju Uprising. Actress Park Bo Young appeared in the music videos of “Sad Promise” and “It’s Over.”

Speed will perform for the debut songs for the first time on Mnet’s M Countdown on January 17.
