Psy received the grand prize at the Golden Disc.


On January 16, Psy received the grand prize for “Gangnam Style,” the lead track of his sixth album part one, released in July last year, on the second day of the 27th Golden Disc, which was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


Psy, who has become a world-famous pop star, received the grand prize and the Artist of the Year at the awards. Currently residing in the U.S., Psy couldn’t attend the awards, unfortunately.


Big Bang and Big Bang’s G-Dragon received four awards.


Big Bang received the Artist of the Year for “Fantastic Baby,” and G-Dragon received the award for “Crayon.” Big Bang also received the MSN International Award, and G-Dragon received the Popularity Award.


Sistar received the Artist of the Year and the Galaxy Star Award as their songs, “Alone” and “Loving You,” made a great hit last year.


Miss A, Secret, f(x), K.Will, 2NE1, T-ara, and Heo Gak received the Artist of the Year. B.A.P, Lee Hi, and Ailee received the New Artist Award.


Epic High received the Best Hip-hop Award, Teen Top received the Golden Single Award, and FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki received the In Style Fashion Star Award.


The second part of the 27th Golden Disc will air on January 20 at 8:40 p.m. on JTBC.


At the first part of the 27th Golden Disc, which was held on January 15, Super Junior received a total of three awards, including the grand prize.
