Boyfriend to sing a theme song for Detective Conan

“The Melody Of Eyes,” the lead track of Boyfriend’s third Japanese single, was recently chosen as the ending theme song for Detective Conan.

Detective Conan is a popular cartoon series, which sold over a hundred million copies and was remade into an animated film and a film. Boyfriend became the first foreign artist to sing a theme song for Detective Conan. The theme song will be released on March 27.

“The Melody Of Eyes” is a love song that describes innocent love toward a very special person. It’s been commented that Boyfriend has become emotionally more mature through the song.

Boyfriend topped the Oricon Single Chart with the first album Be My Shine~Kimio Hanasanai, released in August last year, and ranked third on the chart with the second material Kimito Dance Dance Dance / My Lady~Huyuno Koibito, released in November last year.

Recently receiving the Best New Artist Award at the 27th Golden Disc Award in Japan, Boyfriend are currently promoting the new song “I Yah” in Korea.
