The movie Masquerade, starring actor Lee Byung Heon, was released in Japan and had a good start.

According to Lee’s agency, BH Entertainment, on February 19, the movie was released in Japan on February 16 in ninety theaters and drew around 42,000 viewers.

This record helped the movie rank tenth at box office. An official for the agency says, “The Korean movie has entered the Top 10 list at the box office after a long time. It drew a lot of attention in Japan and received many favorable reviews.”

“According to a Japanese film website, the movie beat many other Japanese movies and ranked first in the satisfaction category.”

Thanks to the successful movie, it will be made into a play with another ending and story in Korea. The play will start performing on February 23.

Now Lee is preparing for the world wide release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation on March 28.
