According to a July 30 announcement by their agency, FT Islands 11th Japanese single “Shiwaseori,” which has released on the 24th, grabbed the top spot on the Oricon Singles Chart.

The title is a combination of the Japanese word shiawase, which means ‘happiness,’ and seori, meaning ‘theory,’ creating a made-up word for the “theory of happiness.” The song wis released along with two others, “Eyes On Me” and “Rainy Day,” which were written by the members of the group themselves.

FT Island has recently been working in Japan and will perform at the Rock Festival on August 10 and 11 in Tokyo and Osaka.
