Beast takes the number-one ranking on M-Countdown, beating out Ailee

Beast took number one with ��Shadow,�� the lead track of their new album, on Mnet��s M-Countdown on August 1, beating out Ailee.

One member, Yoo Doo Joon, expressed his feelings, saying, ��We thank everyone at our agency, especially the chairman, Hong Seung Sung, who is not well. We hope this will help him recover from his illness. We give thanks to all our fans and the audience here today, too.��

��Shadow,�� is a powerful, lyrical dance number, which expresses a man��s sorrow after drifting apart from his love. In keeping with the song’s title, the choreography expresses shadows as a key point of the group’s performance of the song.

A number of other artists performed on the same program, including Infinite, EXO, Vixx, f(x), Brown Eyed Girls, Kim Hyun Joong, Ailee, Apink, Girl��s Day, Crayon Pop, Lee Jung Hyun, Dalshabet, M.I.B, AOA, Five Dolls, and Stellar.
