Sun Mi, formerly a member of the Wonder Girls, is showing outstanding accomplishments on the music charts right after coming back as a solo artist. She officially released her solo debut song, 24 Hours, on August 26 at noon. The song is a dance number written by Park Jin Young, the head of JYP Entertainment and producer. Its about a womans feeling that she wants to stay with a man when she fell in love for the first time as an adult.

As of the 27th at 8:00 a.m., the second day after the release, the song holds the top spot on the real-time music charts of the major domestic music sites Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Soribada, Monkey3, Naver Music, Cyworld Music, and Daum Music. It sat at number one for two days on those music charts after being released.

Korea is not the only country that is paying attention to Sun Mi as a solo artist. This morning, the song came in second on the Top Singles Songs, the main singles chart of iTunes, in Thailand, and it made the Top 100 on the iTunes Main Singles Chart in five other countries by ranking 24th in Malaysia and Singapore, 51st in Hong Kong, and 53rd in Taiwan.

Sun Mi made her debut in the music scene in February 2007 as a member of the Wonder Girls, and she left the group to continue her academic studies in January 2010. Three years and seven months later, she came back as a solo artist with the song 24 Hours, and now she is gaining great popularity.
