Three Korean idol groups have made a great accomplishment on the Oricon Chart with their new studio albums and a single.

According to an announcement by Oricon, Japan’s most authoritative chart of record sales, CNBLUE (Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Jong Hyun, Kang Min Hyuk, and Lee Jung Shin), the idol band who released their new studio album, What Turns You On?, in Japan on the 28th, ranked at number two on the Oricon Daily Albums Chart on the date of the album’s release. It sold 26,921 copies.

On the same day, Kara (Park Gyuri, Han Seung Yeon, Jung Nicole, Goo Hara, and Kang Ji Young) released their fourth studio album, Fantastic Girls, and came in third on the Oricon Daily Albums Chart, also on the date of the album’s release. It sold 20,081 copies.

The power of Korean idol groups has been proved on the Singles Chart also. B1A4 (Jin Young, Baro, Sandeul, CNU, and Gong Chan) released their third single in japan, Whats Happening?, on August 28 and ranked at number-one on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. The single is the Japanese version of a song already released in Korea in May. It sold 25,705 copies.

Those three Korean idol groups have displayed the stature of K-Pop in Japan once again with their high rankings on the Oricon Chart.

Meanwhile, SHINee (Onew, Jong Hyun, Key, Min Ho, and Tae Min) who released their new single in Japan, Boys Meet U, on the 21st, are also showing their strength by remaining on the Oricon Singles Chart at rank six.
