On the morning of August 30, JYP Entertainment, Park Jin Young’s agency, unveiled three teaser images for his upcoming tenth studio album, Halftime, which is scheduled to be released on September 2. In the pictures, he looks like a wrinkled old man with gray hair. In each picture, he portrays a different stage of himself in the future, including that of an old man lifting his grandson in his arms, an old man sitting in a car, and an old homeless man.
The new album will features his mental agony as he wonders, “Why should I live life to the max?” in the middle of his life as a man who has already lived the life to the full as a singer, a dancer, and a producer.
An official of JYP Entertainment says, “In this album, Park Jin Young metaphorically expresses the agony of a mid-life crisis, the theme of the album.”
Park Jin Young will release “Love Is The Best (사랑이 제일 낫더라),“ a track from the new album, first on September 2. He is supposed to unveil all the tracks of the album through major music sites on September 9, including the lead song of the album, “Played as much as I can (놀만큼 놀아봤어).“
