Super Junior��s Eunhyuk, 2PM��s Taecyeon and EXO��s Kris to host Asia Song Festival

The Asia Song Festival has confirmed that Super Junior��s Eunhyuk, 2PM��s Taecyeon, and EXO��s Kris will be the MCs for the show. According to the Korea Music Content Industry Association, the hot MC trio will lead the ’2013 Asia Song Festival, which will be held at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium on October 9.

Representative artists from across Asia, including Korea’s 2PM, EXO, Girl’s Day, ZE:A, Block B, Crayon Pop, Dynamic Duo, No Brain as well as the Indonesian group 7ICONS, the Filipino band M.Y.M.P, and more will perform at the festival.

For this show, they took into consideration the top artists according to Gaon Chart data, which is Korea’s authoritative music chart, and SNS popularity (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), and the sales of songs within Korea and overseas were analyzed.

The Korea Music Content Industry Association states, “The primary purpose of this event is culture exchange in the field of popular music, so the festival has prepared a showcase of diverse talent. We expect a synergy effect from sharing the qualities of the Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards, which takes place every February, and from the fact that the festival is held on the eve of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s MU:CON.”

This event is hosted by the Korea Music Content Industry Association, and MCST and KOCCA is supporting the show and S27 and Dream EMC will supervise it. The show will be broadcast by KBS.
