IU performs on SBSs Ingigayo despite the suspicion of plagiarism

Though she’s currently suspected of plagiarism, IU performed on SBSs Ingigayo without showing any signs of being emotionally upset. She performed the lead track, Purple Shoes, of her new album, Modern Times, on October 27 without mentioning the incident.
On the live broadcast, she introduced the song briefly, because it was one of the winning candidates for the last week of October. She also acted as a special MC with Lee Hyunwoo to introduce the songs on the chart for the 4th to the 10th.
On October 26, IUs agency, Loen Entertainment, explained away the suspicions, saying, We have heard the opinions of the composer Lee Minsoo and other music experts that the second stanza of Purple Shoes seems to be similar to part of the melody of the song Heres Earth, a swing jazz song released by Nekta in 2009, but the chord progressions of the two songs are totally different.
